Angkor Charity School
(A.C.S)
For Poor, homeless & Orphan Children

It is a newly-established, non-governmental, non-political and non-profitable school which is located in Changkavsu Village, Slorkram Commune, and it is about 3 kilometers away of Siem Reap downtown. It is founded in the year of 2009 from my personal initiative and colleagues.

Main Objective of A.C.S

We provide the basic need of the foreign language education to all kind of poor, homeless and orphan children in the whole village. We try our best to contact the foreign generous supporters to help all the children such as are school supplies, uniforms, bicycles, food and the financial support for sustaining the school, teacher-staffs and the poor children as well.
We are intentionally to construct a library for all children so as to do their research and improve their study as well. We are planning to construct a home-stay for all kind of orphan children.
We use our endeavor to find and contact the hospitality industry owners so that to have them stable job to do in the future.

Children are the future pillars of the country.To make a country progress, we have to provide good life and education to the children from their childhood. Our children's lives are dependent on the generous people. Donations are greatly needed and appreciated at the moment. We desperately need school-supplies, food, medical care, clothing and financial contributions for sustaining our staffs, school and our orphan children...etc.

My personal Impression

I constructed the English-Spanish & Khmer School so that to teach all poor, homeless and orphans are in the whole village. Most of them are poor who can't even go to attend the state school because their parents are poor victim of land-mine. They do not have money to pay the school tuition, uniforms and school supplies...etc. Because of the current poverty some of them drop out of school in the young age. Other children are homeless whose parents died recently.

These children implore their neighbors to live with so that to continue their lives in the world. Some are orphans are living under the roof of the Buddhist Monastery. These above different kind of children end up as poor, uneducated, deviant, ill-bred citizens, and they are addicted to marijuana, drug, heroin and gangsters of the society. In order to help rescuing their ill social behavior, I decided to open this school for disseminating an influence of education for all of them. We try our best to educate them to become useful and good citizens with bright future. Your help and generous fund support that can speed this charity project ahead with a fruitful transaction.

The Importance of Education

The education is the process by which people acquire knowledge, skills, habits, values, or attitudes. The most common way to get an education is to attend school. Education helps people become useful members of society. It helps people acquire skills they need for such every activity as reading a newspaper or managing their money. It also gives people the specialized training they may need to prepare for their job or career. It also increases people’s knowledge and understanding of the world. Now, there some tough problems happen to the poor children who live far away from a school with the complete range of grades find it very hard to continue learning and some of them inevitably become drop-outs. It may due to the budget constraints there is little hope of ensuring equal opportunity for every child to receive a 9-year basic education.
All the problems are still found in education network, such as poor education quality between urban schools and rural or remote schools. A lot of increasing number of drop-outs in lower grades because of poverty, shortage of labor in the family and the lower level education, certain segment of the populations perceive that education is not imperative for themselves or for their families.
